Jai Hanuman

Lord Hanuman represents the breath and by holding onto the breath, a lot can be achieved. Buddha's teaching's, in essence, are exactly that. It is the only thing that is material and beyond the control of any living being while being the very essence of life. It has been spoken about in various Hindu scriptures while being an essential part of any yogic practice. 

The ego submits to the breath.

Lord Skanda

The son of Lord Shiva, Lord Skanda, sits on a peacock which has the snake of ego firmly in its control. Lord Skanda is the God of War and the manifestation of a male by Lord Shiva. He sits at the ajna chakra of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is depicted by the third eye and the bhasm tripund tilak showcased in the background.
